We Use High Ski Resorts In Switzerland

We have a busy half-term coming up for our school skiing trips with groups heading off to our Swiss resorts of Leysin, Meiringen, Fiesch and Davos.

I have been visiting our clients this week and they are just so relieved that they are travelling with Ski Gower to these high Swiss Resorts. There is plenty of snow in all of them and they have no concerns that their students will not ski. They know that they won’t be bussed to higher resorts to find snow and they won’t have the embarrassment of facing irate parents having paid a lot of money to go to a ski resort where there is no snow.

Simply put they are going to have a great time with no worries.

One of the school group leaders was saying that he has just bought a caravan in Chatel in the Porte du Soleil in France. He went out on Boxing Day and was lucky that a big snow fall meant that he could just about ski there for the week. By the end of the week much of the snow had gone and he was having to go up to Avoriaz which was packed with skiers coming from Chatel, Morzine and Les Gets. All resorts on the Porte du Soleil but all suffering due to their low height from a lack of snow.

I also had a new client this week that was surprised at the prices that I was offering him for Switzerland. Everyone perceives Switzerland to be expensive for school ski holidays, but it is a myth. With similar prices to what he is being offered elsewhere in Europe and with the guaranteed snow and the all-day instruction from our own British Instructors he decided that there was no better package on offer on the market at the moment for his 2016 school ski trip.
